Kayla is a werewolf. The Alpha of her pack, which means that when new werewolves are created, she must teach them to hunt. She's responsible for them until they can care for themselves.

Kevin is her husband and a shaman. He loves his wife and wishes to spend more time with her. He has a desire that Kayla knows about, but won't help him with.

It's the night of the first of three full moons and Kayla must go out and teach some new weres to hunt. She'd much rather be at home with her husband since it's the first time in two weeks they've had time alone without their kids and basically time for the two of them. After an extremely satisfying lovemaking session, Kayla goes off to do her duty. She cares for her charges and then must hunt for herself. But she runs into a surprise and her life will never be the same.

This was a cute story. The sex scene was hot and steamy and the whole thing was well written. I enjoyed it. It's a short fun read. I'm not usually fond of first person books, but this one caught me up in it and I forgot my innate dislike and got totally caught up in the story. That's as great a compliment as I can give. To get lost in a story means the author has done his/her job well. And this author has done well.

Years and years of being true to her vows but tonight Kayla spots a new were, a gorgeous male were in her woods and she can't help but want him. Human or wolf, will vows or instinct win or loose?

Hot, steamy and playful, best describes Hunter's Moon. I genuinely liked the characters, carnal and fun without going overboard or boring in the bedroom. Sometimes, it's enjoyable to read about a couple who love each other and know how to love each other. Hunter's Moon gets it right.
