First anthology in the 'Horned Jack' collection, 'The Early Years' consists of four, comlete novellas chronicling the life of a young man (Jack Shoultz) who soon learns he is Nephilim.  The sixteen-year-old survives the drastic change in his early life and finds police in running alone in the forests at night.  After learning to control what he calls the 'Beast', a change that dominates every facit of his body, he decides to help those he meets while running in the 'Beast'.  Soon, rumors and stories spread of the seven foot being who comes to the aid of those who need help.  As time passes, the urban legend of Horned Jack spreads through Tipton County, Tennessee.
