After learning a lesson the hard way about letting men into her heart and the boy's lives, single mother Brenda realizes that her children must come first in her life. She decides she will not let new men around the impressionable boys.
However, Ray, deeply in love with her, wants to raise her children. As protective as Brenda is, she asks him to wait. He decides to give her the space and time for which she asks. After the boys are grown, he finally gets to know them. Due to his love for their mother, he stands by them through thick and thin until the young men are finally ready to 'Color Him Father.'
About the author:
Joyce Lomax Dukes was born and reared in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was number 17 of the 18 children of David and Annie Mae Lomax. Lomax enjoys spending time with her four adult children, fifteen grandchildren, and her eight (soon to be nine) great grandchildren. She is very proud of all of them.
Lomax is a hard worker and loves communicating with new people. Soon to retire, she has worked as a supervisor in the fields of new construction and retirement home cleaning. She currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida. Lomax, whose first book was Stolen Love, also writes poems and short stories.
