Picture book for ages 3 to 7.
This story puts a twist on all the common cliches as a princess plays damsel in distress by recreating fairy tale predicaments in order to catch a prince. However, what she is searching for is closer than she thinks.
Excerpt
"Perhaps I need to be rescued like in the fairy tales," she said.
Surely then her prince would come.
She sent her most trusted knight to build a tower to lock her in.
She sat in the tower and painted pictures of the trees she could see from the window.
She waited, and waited, and waited, but her prince did not come to rescue her from the tower.
When she was tired of waiting, she reached for a tree branch near the window and climbed down.
