An excerpt from IYUMP YWUMP:
Aaron made his way to Bear that Friday evening. We decided on dinner and a movie; however, we never made it to the movie. After we ate, we stopped back to my house so that I could get a jacket and put on a pair of jeans. When I came back downstairs, Aaron was buck naked in my living room.
“What the” I started but he cut me off. It was a good thing, too. I was only on the cross with Velcro and it was about to be snatched off so I could give him a piece of my mind.
“Let me explain. I know that you said we would not have a physical relationship but I want you so bad. Just hanging out with you tonight and being so comfortable with you makes me feel really good about our future. I figured that if I let you see what you’d be getting, you would change your mind and we can make love.”
I couldn’t believe this fool. Make love? I didn’t a bit more love him than the man in the moon. Granted, he looked magnificent; he knew good and well that I was not interested in going against the Word. We had that conversation five days ago. The way I saw it, there was not a man alive that I ever met that was worth losing the kingdom for. So, Aaron had to go.
“Get dressed.” I commanded in a stern voice. “I invited you into my home and you have disrespected me. I made it clear to you how I was rolling and you have blatantly disregarded that and my wishes. I have no desire to be with a man who does not value what I value. You clearly do not respect what is important to me. I will not settle for what you want to give me because I know that I deserve more. I am sorry but you need to leave and we,” I glanced up at him and tried to focus on his face. “We are through.” I finished.
I turned around and went back upstairs toward my bedroom. I sat on the steps completely out of view from him and waited for him to leave. Once I heard my front door close, I went to my bedroom window and peeked out to see his car backing out of my driveway. “How dare he disrespect me in my own house?” I shouted. “Thank you Lord for providing a way of escape as you promised in your Word.” I sighed then shrugged my shoulders as I added, “Well, another one bites the dust.”
