MY BAD DAY
I knew it wasn't going to be my day when my finger went through the toilet paper this morning.
I became fully awake and alert when I relized my toothpaste wasn't foamy and didn't have that cool, mint flavor I was used to. As I stared at the tube of Preparation H in my hand, I silently exclaimed, "My God! What have I done with the Colgate?"
A slight cooling effect in my posterior answered that question! As I threw the Preparation H in disgust, I turned quickly to my left and felt the presence of the bathroom door on my forehead.

These short stories are partial truth and fiction with a setting in and around the towns of Mize, Magee and Taylorsville, Mississippi. Some of the characters mentioned are real, some are not, but none are identified by their real names. The same is true of the events described. My intent is to entertain the reader with the actions and thoughts of the characters and the humorous logic they use day by day.
A naďve councilman and a down-on-her-luck single mom try to save their county’s last stand of forest from greedy developers and a dysfunctional government.
