Creed returns home to find almost all his family killed his brother Brand is missing and presumed dead. And then there is Lauren the woman he loves who is now married to Brand. Creed realizes that the only way to keep his hands off Lauren is to leave and move on with his life.
Lauren refuses to believe her husband is dead but her heart and her body still responds just as strongly as it always has when Creed is around. She will do all that she can to try and protect her heart.
Sage has found her sister Lauren but has also lost many of the people she has loved. With the war between the whites and the Indians she soon finds her life in turmoil and wonders if she will ever be the same again.
Brand finds his way home and back to Lauren but discovers that if he wishes to keep the people he loves most happy he must confess to them the truth. He can only hope he has the chance to fix the wrongs.
Dark Night of the Moon is the sequel to Keta Diablo's Holding on to Heaven where we first meet the characters. Although labeled as a Paranormal it is not your typical Paranormal but more of the beliefs of the Native Americans Indians. You will discover yourself on an emotional ride, I found myself with tears one minute and the next I just wanted to smack Creed and Lauren. I felt like I was an observer standing there watching this touching and scorching story unfold. You are never sure how this story will end and you may even be surprised. Keta Diablo is an amazing story teller and Dark Night of the Moon is a keeper.

Keta Diablo has managed to wow me again with Dark Night of the Moon and the continued journey and struggle her characters Lauren, Creed, and Sage face with their strength and love. I couldn¡¯t put the book down because of my eagerness¡¯s to learn what happened to Brand and whether he would make his way back to Lauren. Deep inside, I hoped he would not find his way back to her so that Creed and Lauren could burst beyond their walls of stubbornness and succumb to their strong love and desire. Yet, I found myself brushing away tears as I experienced the sadness they felt when tragedy returned to dance upon their
lives, creating even more sorrow and sadness.¡¡This was an on-the-edge-of-your-seat-bite-your-nails story. The only disappointment I have in this one of Keta Diablo¡¯s sequels is that the ending for Sage and her deceased husband didn¡¯t follow the path I had eagerly anticipated.¡¡
I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in history, romance, and an open mind for Native-American mythology with a splash of paranormal.
