This my friends is the book we have been looking for.I have to be honest. I’ve read a lot of books regarding self-help improvement and even achieving happiness with ones life, but this one is different.I would strongly suggest anyone who is looking for a book that speaks not just to the mind but also to the soul, to obtain this book.
J. Guild top 1000 reviewer (Toronto, Canada)
The authors have analyzed happiness in life from every angle from A to Z.; and have put it all into a neat book for anyone to use, who wants to find out what things lead one down the path of happiness in life.I highly recommend this book.
Susanna Hutcheson (Scientific Copywriting) Midwest USA
I expect these two wise people are perhaps more qualified than anyone to provide some answers and a fresh, appealing perspective on being happy.More so, I think than many of the happiness “Gurus” or psychologists.Highly recommended.
Alexandria Jackson (Psychologist by day and Blogcritic by night)
There are many useful fill-in-blank forms for you to reacquaint yourself with you. After each assessment tool, there are statements of encouragement and often a biblical reference. Each main area of the book has, “Go for it!You can do it! Or other motivating statements. The concept may sound pedestrian, but while reading the book I was smiling and eager to keep on reading. This book is gently encouraging, motivating and easy to read and I will recommend it anyone over the age of fifteen. Physiologist by day and Blogcritic by night.

Interviewer:
Can you tell me what this book is all about?
Co-Author:
This book is a new life perspective for those considering a relationship or marriage, are married, divorced or widowed. These are a lot of words, so lets make it simple.
It is a common sense approach to helping you make the right choices and improve your life.
Interviewer:
How can this book help the reader?
Co-Author:
It will allow you the opportunity to review yourself as a child, any negative side problems, your relationship with friends or a member of the opposite sex. What you may want to correct so you can move on with your life.
It will help make you believe in yourself and instill confidence to make the right choices in a relationship or marriage or whatever life brings to you.
It will help you to become purposeful and motivate you to make changes in your life, if necessary.
It will make you become happier and more content with life by learning the importance of positive programming and attitude.
First and foremost you must believe in yourself by following your dreams, creating goals and you must be able to say: “I can do anything I want with Gods help and believe in it,” Provided you are not disabled to a point where you cannot do things.
If you are married and want to know more about how to keep your marriage alive and/or make it better like telling each other you love the other many times a day and if you are wrong admit it and etc.
If you are divorced or widowed and want to start your life over again there are ideas you can use like worry is the lack of faith – lack of faith is lack of belief.
If you need faith it can be found in Hebrews 11:1.Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
If you want to improve your communication skills, image, negotiation skills, teamwork, or look at your honesty it is all here.
If you want to learn how to control stress it is here like controlling your emotions, relationships, health and etc.
If you are carrying for a sick loved one and need guidance it is here like listening very carefully, be sympathetic, be understanding and etc.
If you are coping with the death of a loved one and need guidance it is here like turning to God for guidance and direction or taking time to grieve or not feeling guilty.
If you need guidance to cope with loneliness it is here like in John 14:18 – I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
If you need help living single it is here like making myself happy and controlling your emotions.

Creating Your Own Way To Happiness
By Susan P. "honest to a fault" (Iowa) - See all my reviews
If you are anything like myself, you are continually on the search for something, anything that will help you find more peace of mind, improve your mood and quite frankly help you achieve happiness that seems ever elusive. In this day and age of low self image, uncaring individuals and a world that simply does not seem to care, this book is a gem when it comes to finding happiness within and applying it to ones life.
This, my friends is the book that we have been looking for. I have to be honest here, I've read a lot of books regarding self-help, improvement and even achieving happiness within ones life, but this one is different. Not only does it actually help in common sense, easy to understand language, but lessons within are easy to implement into ones life and feel totally natural besides. And on top of everything else, it speaks to each reader, reaching across age and background barriers to hit the basics and aid each reader on their own level.
Controlling stress had to be my favorite area in this book. As any parent and working mother can attest, keeping stress at a minimum as well as at a manageable level is the secret to a happier life and relationships besides. Again the common sense, no nonsense advice that appeals to any reader, despite his/her background is a factor that sets this book aside in terms of appeal and actually being worth the price.
I would strongly suggest anyone who is looking for a book that speaks not just to the mind but to the soul, to obtain this book. It is a winner and one that I promise will be off the shelf and in use far more than some of the glossy tomes we see far too often in bookstores all over the country. I think you'll be happy you took the plunge into its depths when you read this book, I know I certainly was!
I highly recommend this book.
Crating Your Own Way To Happiness
Creating Your Own Way To Happiness: A new life perspective for those considering a relationship or marriage, are married, divorced or widowed
The first question I asked myself when I started reading “Creating Your Own Way to Happiness” is what credentials the authors, Robert Bruce and Lee Ann Kirby have to write a self help book. Neither one has a degree in psychology or social work but with 147 years of combined life experience between the two of them they certainly have the insight to write a book like this. Together, they have a combined 95 years of marriage, 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The book was very well written, but I did not feel that it was well suited for all age ranges. I do not think that many in the younger generations would relate well to the writing style and approach used in the book. That being said, I think this is an excellent book for the older, religious person who is considering starting over in a new marriage, or recently divorced or widowed. “Creating Your Own Way to Happiness” really helps you to consider your reasons for making changes in your life through questionnaires, real-life stories and life experience. These chapters are also full of biblical quotes to back up the rationale of the authors.
I found a lot of good commonsense advice throughout the book and a few of the items really resonated with me such as: “Persistence is one of the most effective keys you can use to overcome these challenges, wrote President Calvin Coolidge. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; un-rewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” And my favorite insight by the authors is “The way to live successfully is not complicated, nor is it all that difficult. It is not beyond the reach of any one of us. You must get a thrill out of everyday living, and find romance in life itself.”
How do you find happiness? If you or someone you know starts asking this question or is considering making major life changes then I would highly recommend reading “Creating Your Own Way to Happiness” before answering those questions.

BOOK REVIEW
I just finished reading (well, actually, I read it twice) a book written by members of our Writers Club. It's called CREATING YOUR OWN WAY TO HAPPINESS. Let me preface this message by saying I do not normally read self-help or life guide-books. This one was worth it.
I haven't posted my review on Amazon.com yet. Wanted to let everyone here know first this is a jim-dandy little book. It's written in a straight-forward manner in words everyone can make find sense in them. It has workbook sections in some of the chapters and other chapters challenge you to think and make choices.
There is something which pertains to practically anyone, no matter what state your life is in, married or not, spiritual or not, you can find a chapter that fills in the blank.
Olescrooge is the member of our group who asked for people to review their book and all I can say to them is, Bob and Lee Ann, you did a grand job.
