I Am The Darker Brother is a fictional novella about a historically black fraternity, on a predominantly white campus that admits its first Jewish member.
Eric Wilson is a young black man who has always thrived in predominantly white settings. A student at Capwell University, a prestigious Southern college. Eric enjoys the camaraderie he experiences as a member of Beta Phi Beta, an historically black fraternity. One day, during his senior year, he is involved in a discussion about race which forces him to analyze his own prejudices and re-evaluate his relationship with his biracial girlfriend. Kara, and his friend, Don, the first and only white brother ever to be admitted to Capwell's chapter of Beta Phi Beta
The bulk of the collection is eight short stories that are set in yesteryear. The compilation is filled out with four entertaining fantasy pieces and three poems.
