Amynta and Wade have one chance to reconstruct the multiverse and stop an assassin hunting them and their allies.
Amynta of Anatolia from the 9th century is among a handful of the rarest synesthetes who ever lived, scattered throughout the millennia. Able to observe the Fabric of Time, she knows that someone is waging a war against humanity, trying to collapse the European Renaissance in its infancy. Desperate for aid, she has reached across 1,200 years to summon the only one who might help, but fears it may already be too late. Wade Linwood of Aquitaine lives in 21st century Hicksville, New York, one of a curious collection of three synesthetes who gather in the vicinity, drawn by the power of the Gospel of Judas in a safe deposit box in the Chase Bank on Broadway.
Faron Richter is a synesthete assassin who views himself as a species of one, facing dangerous rivals. He will harness the resources of multiple universes to kill off all the other synesthetes if he has to. With his original targets dead, there are three left to go. "Amynta of Anatolia" brings the Wade of Aquitaine trilogy to a roaring conclusion filled with fantasy, action, and suspense.
Excerpt
LORRAINE WAS TERRIFIED. She stood where the Everything is, diverting the gaze of the multiverse as she gathered the threads of life, and yanked hard on the parts she needed. This one violent pull was necessary, and she hoped she wasn’t too late to save it all. She was only able to proceed after Faron the Interloper lost sight of his victims. Faron, who wished to destroy the multiverse, as all its living beings knew it.
The burst of effort tired her immediately. She was not only worn, but weary. Weary like the void that bore witness to the eons. Not fair, I’m a little girl.
Yet she did the work of Atlas, of Hercules, of gods unnamed. My ancestors?
