Get to the Table is based on Psalm 23, one of the most popular Psalms written by King David. However, the book's focus is somewhat different. Instead of focusing entirely on the Shadow of Death, the book encourages, enlightens and empowers its readers to move beyond the usual stopping place of the Shadow of Death as they are led and guided to pursue the finish line ~ The Table! Can you envision the table in your life? What does it look like? What does it feel like? What's on your table... Guess what... You have a right to it. All you have to do, is Get to the Table!
Excerpt
Get to the Table workshop is designed to encourage individuals to Get to the Table in their life, by helping individuals put a face on their table. When we say “put a face on it”, what do we mean? Simply put: the goal is to help individual’s bring the table in their life more into view. It is the essence of write the vision…make it plain.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. ( Habakkuk 2:2)
We know that God is the Great I Am…and that He can do anything and everything. However, until we can begin to visiualize the “anything and everything”, we’re trusting Him to do, we will continue running in circles of frustration. Often God, has answered our prayers, or granted us the desire. Unfortunately, because we haven’t began to picture what it would look like, we fail to recgonize it when it shows up.

Notice that emphasis has been put on the word “their”. This is to drive the point home that God created us all for a specific purpose and plan. Therefore, as we embark upon inhabiting our table, we must remember our table may not look like that of our neighbor’s. Only when we live our life surrendered to God and trust Him to reveal His plan for our life, can we begin to move towards the table in our life.
As life is a journey full of numerous paths, it is safe to conclude that there is possibly more than one table for us to inhabit. It is up to the individual to decide what the table represents in their life. Perhaps it is their dreams or goals. Maybe it’s their inward desires. It could be the promises of God for their life. It could be the blessings of God for their life. It could be overcoming a storm. It could be the release of pain and hurts that have held them bound. Only God and the individual know what their table is and what it looks like.
Therefore, in this book I do not attempt to define the table for individuals, but rather encourage the dialogue needed between the individual and God to obtain the revelation of their table. There is a table for everyone. It is up to us to get to it!
