Chapter I
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
“Peter, darling, come join us.”
The words were softly spoken and thickly accented, husky with passion in the shadowed living room of Peter Greene’s Brazilian apartment. He was standing near a bank of windows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean seaport. A white silk robe with the sash belt loosely knotted at his waist was in stark contrast to his ebony black hair and glittering dark eyes. He held a crystal lowball glass of ice and sour mash whiskey in his right hand. His head turned slowly to fix expressionless eyes upon the speaker.
On the long sofa, Mara lounged like a cat, her body warm from recent sexual excess. Brown-skinned, dark-eyed, her body lithe and supple, she was completely and shamelessly naked. Beside her, half-asleep with sexual exhaustion, sat Juanita. Like Mara, she was darkly exotic and girlishly slender. The sexual gluttony of the past six hours had drained nearly all of her energy.
With an accent thickened by fatigue and satiation, Mara put a hand inside her robe to touch her vagina cautiously, and murmured, “I no make love to Master Peter again...sore...wonderful sore...he too big for little Mara...”
Juanita combed her fingers through her coal-black hair, smoothing the silken tresses back from her forehead. In a city like Rio de Janeiro, where extraordinary poverty was commonplace, and astonishing wealth as rare as veins of pure gold in the Brazilian mountains, she knew how comfortable her life was with Peter Greene paying for the luxury high-rise apartment she and Mara lived in, as well as financing a considerable clothing, entertainment, and food allowance. The only rule she had to live by was that she couldn’t have sex with any men, and no one other than Juanita and Mara were allowed into the apartment. Security cameras throughout the apartment operating 24/7 insured that at least one of the two rules was steadfastly maintained. Living a life of easy luxury when everything around her was poverty and desperation insured the other.
“Come to me, Master Peter,” Juanita continued. “I not know when you come back so I need as much of you as I can now.”
Peter Greene smiled lazily. In the darkness of the apartment, it was not readily apparent that his smile curled his sensual lips but did not reach up to his eyes. He took a sip of sour mash whiskey, his gaze moving slowly over the two women who had been occupying his Brazilian apartment now for the past six months. In that time he’d made three visits to Rio de Janeiro, each visit lasting three days as he checked in on his shipping operations and investments at the port.
“Amuse yourselves for the time being.” Peter’s voice was cultured, his diction impeccable. His tone was as casual as if he’d suggested they have a cup of coffee by themselves until he could join them. “I’ll be with you later.”
Juanita smiled. She knew her man. More importantly, she knew how to please him. Turning slowly toward Mara, she purred, “You too sore for Master Peter, but not for Juanita...I know how to please Mara so she not be sore...I know how to make Master Peter and Mara happy both.”
Her syntax, Peter noted, was quite flawed; her sexual skills, he knew, were flawless. As a man who had been doing business negotiations since his late teens, he realized with a certain rational practicality that as far as skills are concerned, this wasn’t a bad trade-off.
