Wow! I have just finished reading Imago Book Three, Tales from the East and I think it is marvelous. These two books, Imago Book Two, Tales from the West and its sequel are the only fantasy books I have ever read to the end! I have tried, but these caught my imagination.
You have such an imagination to come up with these ideas! Your style is so lucid, the reader has no difficulty seeing the scenes, the people, the action. The last few pages are like fireworks, one surprise after the other. Well done, indeed. My congratulations! No wonder the film companies want to make it into a film. It directs itself. I enjoyed the adventure, and await the next one.

I love Nayla: I love her stoicism, cunning, bravery and ruthlessness in battle. I love her vulnerability and fragility when she is faced with kindness and compassion. I love her humility and appreciation of all that was created by the Maker of All. I love her choice to keep on with her life, instead of choosing the path of bitterness and self-destruction like Dahlon.
I love her pragmatism, even as a child. I love her insight and her ability to see the bigger picture. I love the bond that she has with her mother. I love her confidence. I love her inferiority complex. I love her wisdom and her child-like innocence. I love how she views herself as a thistle instead of a rose - as an entity that grows and strives regardless of season or precipitation.
She is truly un objet d'art - only a select few can appreciate this true wonder, namely Arerys and Joval. Nayla is a child of destiny, a daughter of fate - an instrument used by the Maker of All to transfer divine energy to transcend the mortal world. The obstacles she encounters in life do not stand in the way of this woman and her destiny.

After devouring Book Two, I couldn't wait for Book Three to come out! I was not disappointed when I read it. It was hard for me to believe, but Book Three was even better than Book Two.
I was able to really understand the main characters and establish an excellent comprehension of the remainder of the world of Imago, its people, culture and traditions. I especially enjoyed learning of the Taijin more in depth. The fight choreography, base lined in Book Two, rose to a new level of excellence in Book Three. I loved how the author brought out the Ura (opposite/reverse/hidden) side of Nayla and her talents as a Kunoichi (female Ninja). The author also went to great length to also develop Nayla's feminine side, with a hint of her dark history, so the reader was able to gain full appreciation for how far Nayla had come in her life and the prejudices she was forced to bear.
I also appreciated the author's use of some of mankind's base emotions, such as passion, jealousy, ego and prejudice in the plot line as object lessons for the reader. Congratulations again to the author. Magnificent work. I look forward to reading and learning how Nayla came to be the warrior Goddess she is now.
