One bright sunny day, a young puppy named Daisy lay on her back,and let the sun warm her fluffy body.
Her brothers and sisters romped around her.
“Come and play, Daisy,” one of her sisters barked.
“Some other time,” Daisy answered with a widemouthed yawn.
A brother zipped by. “Let‛s race,” he said.
Daisy rolled over. “Maybe later,” she replied.
“Come, little ones,” the puppies‛ mother called. The litter of lively pups gathered in front of her.
“Before long you will be old enough for people to adopt you. I hope each of you will become hard-working adult dogs. That would make me feel so proud.”
