The Big Shift…

All of a sudden everything looks different now.
I don’t know what state I’m in. I’m standing
outside a relative’s home, looking at the foliage,
and it’s all without color. I could never have
imagined I would be in this situation. Thinking
about recent events, I don’t quit understand why
every single area of my life just collapsed. All of
it fell apart all at once. Part of me understands,
yet, there is a big part of me dangling in a panic
state. I feel numb yet I’m trembling with disbelief.
I guess I don’t fully understand why everything
had to change all at once. Not for now
anyway.
As I stood on the curb this morning, outside
the house I used to share with my husband, I
tried to figure out how it all came to an end. I
tried to figure out how I lost everything. Wondering
if I will be o.k., I needed to hear ‘you will
be o.k.’, from somewhere, from someone. Nothing
but silence. OH GOD! What now!
My life was perfect or so I thought. But
now as I sit here at a relative’s place, I’m trying
to reflect back to figure out why I didn’t
see this all coming. Why didn’t I see the true
nature of my husband, and of the other people
I considered to be supportive of me? Friends!
Why did I change my career plans? Why? What
does this all mean? Why did I allow myself to
be controlled and used? Who are these people I
thought I knew?
It’s incredible the range of emotions I’m
experiencing. One moment I’m seemingly stable...
