Quote from STOLEN MEMORIES: “For Christmas I bought her some simple coloring and pasting crafts for ages three to eight. I hoped that she could stay busy doing crafts while I did my housework and laundry. But it did not work out because I had to sit with her and show her how to do even those simple tasks. Mom just could not remember what to do minutes later.”
As Marie helped her mother, Rose, assemble those crafts that she realized their roles had been totally reversed. Marie was no longer the daughter but had become the equivalent of the mother and Rose was now the child.

A very timely subject. With the baby boomers aging, a large bulk of the population is moving up and will need books such as this one to guide them through. I look forward to reading this story, as I am sure that I will be able to relate. Although our family dealt with a situation involving a massive stroke, I think Alzheimer's and strokes have a very fine line between them. Thank you for sharing your story Ms Cloud.

This book is wonderful. Just could not put it down. Well written and a must for everyone over 50 years of age. When parents start to age it is good to know what to do if it is Alzheimer's Disease, and Marie has put forth a great book dealing with this. Don't wait till it happens to you, read it first, and be prepared.
