John Rossiter died of a fractured skull due to a sudden fall. That was the verdict of the doctor, who signed the death certificate and the coroner, who certified the death.
That was also what his wife of two years was happy to believe despite the fact that nobody witnessed the accident and some of his injuries were inconsistent.

David Snowdon had given yet another page-turner. From the start till the end, the thrill and suspense is maintained. Detective Steve Passarelli’s character is amazing. When John Rossiter was killed, the case was closed as an accidental death. John’s mother Brenda Rossiter, felt that there are many questions unanswered with her son’s death. She then approaches Detective Passarelli, to unravel the mystery. Passarelli takes it as a challenge and step-by-step he starts his investigation. The author had maintained calm and composed nature of Passarelli, as he was not in a hurry to solve the case. The World of hedge fund business and the characters of the businessmen are beautifully portrayed.
The action sequences are very natural and fit with the story. We cannot find any sentimental or heart touching scenes in the book, however, it is a good feast for Mystery Lovers. Until the end of the story, there is no way we can judge if the death is natural or a murder. That makes the beauty of the book. The narration was so good that we could see the characters before our eyes. Apart from Passarelli, few other characters that register in my mind are Keith Adams, who is a doctor, Sandra Rossiter – wife of John Rossiter, Wiktor Krakowski – CEO of the top investment firm and Chandler.

A thrilling mystery
In the book, John Rossiter dies under mysterious circumstances. The deceased’s mother suspects foul play and hires a private investigator Steve Passarelli to find the real cause of her son’s death. John had no enemies. He was a nice guy.
Prior to his death, John was involved in a takeover bid with Burton Schultz, the CEO of Morgan Clinton Securities. Schultz was interested in that Hedge Fund and was willing to do whatever it takes to reach his goal. Wiktor Krakowski, a major New York financier with a string of Hedge Funds, also wanted the Hedge Fund bad. John and his business partner Richard Braxton ran this Hedge Fund in Charleston, South Carolina together. Preston Securities was one of the largest Hedge Funds in America with a huge international client base.
What’s more, John was planning to leave his beautiful and loving wife Sandra. But why?
This book will surprise you with a completely shocking plot twist. David Snowdon, the author of the book, has done a fabulous job. The readers will love the way the writer has written the characters.

Dumb for the Money will make you speechless. The book is a fast-paced murder mystery. The story starts with the conversation of Private Investigator Steve Passarelli, and Brenda Rossiter, who is the mother of deceased John Rossiter. The story revolves around the murder of John Rossiter. With Passarelli being in the driver seat to unravel the mystery behind the death of John Rossiter, the author had made every attempt to envisage the difficulties Passarelli encounters during his interrogation. David Snowdon had portrayed the detective as a tough guy, and having a never-let-down attitude.
When John Rossiter was dead, the case was closed as an accident after falling from the ladder. All his huge properties and bank balance went to Sandra Rossiter, who is the wife of John and is considered as the legal heir of his properties. She had a previous marriage and had a kid. When Passarelli was investigating, many new characters emerged, however, he managed to have a chain of connection with each character.
David played a very careful role while describing the characters and never let the readers get confused, in spite of the rain of characters. The story moves in an interesting manner and takes new twists in every chapter. The author had carefully penned to bring in the business rivals of John Rossiter into the scanner of suspicion. The story takes an unprecedented twist after Passarelli gets into the scanner of the cops. The escape of Passarelli without getting caught by the Police was interestingly narrated. It all unfolded before my eyes, while I was reading the book.
Until the end, we cannot guess who is the killer. David had managed to keep the tempo till the last page. Overall I would say it is a good mystery and thriller novel, for everyone to read.
