These are just a few of the questions KATIE O’DELL must resolve in, A TRUCKER’S WIFE.
Katie shifted her position in the oversized chair. No matter which way she turned she couldn’t get comfortable. She hadn’t had much sleep since arriving at the hospital over two weeks ago. Ever since she received the phone call informing her of Mark’s accident.
A deep sigh escaped her as she looked over at Mark’s unconscious form. His head encased in bandages, and intravenous tubes feeding him through his veins. It was still all too much for her to believe. Her husband of only four months run off the road, and left there to die.“Oh Mark!” Katie whispered into the darkened room, “why us? Our lives were just getting started.”
Her hand slid across the bed fumbling in the dark to find his, entwining them together, as she rested her elbows on the edge of the mattress.Katie prayed for Mark’s recovery, never knowing that when he regained consciousness he wouldn’t even know who she was.
As the story unfolds, Mark leaves home ending up in Little Rock, Arkansas straight into the arms of a fiery red head.
Keeping his life a secret, Mark lets no one know that he has amnesia, not even Beth, who he had began to fall in love with. Mark struggles desperately to restrain the desires he feels for Beth, and as the temptation grows stronger he almost gives in, until thoughts of the wedding vows he’d made to a wife he can’t remember snaps him back to reality, and keeps him faithful.
Tired of waiting for Mark to regain his memory, and return home, Katie acquires a complete makeover, and under disguise takes off for Little Rock, determined one way or the other to bring her husband home. Katie is devastated when she finds out Mark is in love with another woman, and after meeting with Beth, and being told a lie that Mark has no problem with his memory, Katie files for a divorce.
Mark, however, didn’t receive the news until after he had sought the help of a doctor, and regained his memory. Whereupon he realized how much he loved his wife, and frantically searched for Beth to break the news that he was going home to Katie.
Mark called Katie everyday trying to explain, only to have Katie hang up on him. He sent flowers, and even showed up unrepentantly from time to time, yet he still couldn’t win Katie over. Finally he gave up, until the day of the divorce.

This story centers around Katie O’Dell, the wife of a truck driver who was seriously injured in a traffic accident. Katie usually accompanied her husband Mark on his long haul trips, but a twist of fate kept her at home this trip, perhaps sparing her, while her husband lie in a coma, teetering on the brink. Ms. Woolsey writes in a way that is easy to follow, and very rue to life. You can feel the emotions, and anxieties in the characters. Her attention to detail weaves a story that is at once believable, and ultimately identifiable. This would be a welcome addition to anyone’s library.

The title is catching. I thought of something else but when I clicked on it and read the summery. It sounds like it would be a very good book. I can't wait until I get the book.

It is very good so far cant wait till i get the book to see what happens, and i love a book with all the details in it and this sounds like a very good one to me.I cant wait till i get the book. keep wrighting sounds like you have it going on.

very good and yet just a little to real. being the wife of a truck driver that is the call i dread, that there's been an accident. wow very good, i'd read it just for the happy ending.
