Walking the Path is an honest account of a life attempting to make sense of the world and his role in it. Whilst the title may appear dull it must be emphasised that this is no ordinary story. The author does not become famous by the end of this volume (he cannot write the second volume because he is still living it). Never the less there are accounts of life from the mundane to the magnificent. And as the story of one man's life unfolds you are guaranteed an emotional workout as good as any fiction story.
This is not a book about magic or occultism but the life of the author does include some study (and application) of occult philosophy. In the occult a person's journey through life referred to as 'Walking the Path'. For those who intentionally and willingly step on the esoteric path they agree to a 'speeding up' of internal growth. What happens when one does so can make quite gripping reading.
Knowledge comes only with experience and this is perhaps another way to look at the Chinese curse, 'may you live in interesting times'. This book is, to the best of the author's recall, the story of his life from 1960 to 2004.

My head reeled with the potential. Suddenly I knew who I was but what were my abilities and why would I develop them? Knowing who I was did not give me a sense of purpose but what it did give me was a sense of choice. I could be whatever I wanted to be. Why on earth had this not been taught at school?
The perspective of my world had changed yet again. A part of the puzzle had been solved but the nagging thought in my head continued. There was a question that I needed to ask but I didn't know what the question was, only now the nagging seemed a little closer. It seemed that the realisation of my existence was something that I had to know before I would understand the hidden question.

Walking the Path
Shane Ward’s autobiography “Walking the Path” held my attention from start to finish. The telling of his life story is entertaining, rich in details and full of stories that lend insight to the human condition. Shane takes us along with him on his personal evolution from youth to middle age and in his life we all can find a piece of ourselves and relate to his journey.
I was moved by the touching stories told through the eyes of one who had lived it. I laughed several times and was even laughing out loud at "Fiddler on the Roof" but also I experienced such a sense of sadness. It is a book of many emotions. I found a kindred spirit in Shane's story and in some ways it has helped me to better understand mine.
"Walking the Path" is a fascinating book on it's own merits and although there are only a few references to numerology, from a Numerologist's point of view Shane's story was even more interesting. From past posts on our numerology group, we have learned that Shane is a 22 Life Path and watching that Life Path unfold page by page was nothing less than riveting.
Shane is a very gifted writer. In fact, I was so impressed by his writing style, that I ordered his Numerology and Tarot book after reading only the first four chapters. I have no hesitation in recommending "Walking the Path" as a very good read.
