Excerpt
I feel into a deep vivid dream. In it I was in Hawaii staying with cinema people I met the year before at the Cannes Film Festival. They asked me to join them at a cocktail party at the home of a very wealthy man who periodically backed film productions. His majestic home was on the ocean in Maui boasting a spectacular view from the back deck. It overlooked a pristine white beach divided by lava rock on either side from his neighbors. It was dusk and I was alone. Leaning over the railing I sipped a martini, drinking in the magnificent sky which looked like the rainbow wings of a butterfly whose colors transformed every few minutes as the sun sank deeper into the ocean. Just then I felt a cold presence press up behind me and grasp me roughly around my waist.
“How do you like the view I arranged for you pretty lady?” He asked imperiously. He was heavy set, about five foot eleven, dark tanned hiding a pok marked complexion with scraggy shoulder length hair. His presence was awesome, while pompous and malicious. His emitted a dark, foreboding energy which made my blood run cold. I felt like screaming.”
What’s a matter little darlin, cat got your tongue?” He had piercing dark eyes which held mine transfixed in fear as if he were about to devour me. He grinned cynically. I felt my worst nightmares were all tied up in this one hideous man. In the few moments since his arrival I became paralyzed in fear. A moment later I passed out.
I observed this scene, which had actually occurred just before my decision to chuck the defiant life I led, both as a witness and from the eyes of my dream self. It was exactly the way I remembered it up to that point. However, in this dream, it continued on past the point where I lost consciousness.
The moment I fainted the man caught me in his arms. Strangely, as I watched him gently rest my limp body on the deck he seemed much taller than he had a moment ago. He motioned to a passing waiter to help him. He took the waiter’s towel , dipped it in a glass of water and placed it on my forehead. I was amazed at the loving sensitivity he demonstrated. This could not possibly be the same foreboding character that had been responsible for my terror filled collapse.
He politely signaled the obedient servant that all would be well and sent him off to resume his duties. The waiter nodded and obediently departed. As my body lay lifeless on the deck, the man took a beach towel, hanging from the railing and tenderly placed it under my head.
As he performed this simple kindness my focus slowly swung round his body of its own accord. He looked up from my body and directly into what should have been my unseen eyes. I was shocked. Firstly, because I was certain he could see me, or at least sense my presence, but just as much because of his appearance.
He looked nothing like the man that I had met minutes before. He was definitely much taller. Even on bended knee I could see he was well over six feet. His long shoulder length hair flowed silky black like a giant stallion’s mane. His eyes were deep blue and his rich dark skin was spotless. He smiled the most peaceful angelic smile I had ever seen, rivaled only by Francois’.
This could not have been the man I met a year ago. It was impossible. Yet, it was this encounter that impacted me so profoundly that I had decided to abandon the hollow existence I been living.

I started out intriged, I could not put the book down. The emotions it evoked had me with the characters. Reality and preception mixed with time and space , all together is Love. How simple yet complexed. Thank you , it is wonderful reading
