It was Al Capone’s time to be the #one boss in Chicago. Outside of the Palace Theater stands a henchman from Capone’s mob, named Lefty. His mission, ordered by Frank Nitti was important. Lefty slips inside the back stage door. He waited in the shadows for the girl, whom the boss wants turned into damaged goods.
The music stops; thirty girls run off the stage. They are all giggling, and telling each other to hurry; they want to meet across the street for drinks. Shirley tells Katherine to hurry up, let’s go, but she says,
“Go on ahead, I’ll catch up later.”
The stage lights shut down, and Lefty sees Katherine walk toward the door. He grabs her from behind with his forearm around her neck and pulls her toward the basement. She bites into his hand, but he only tightens his grip choking her, she’s kicking, and scratching trying to break free. Dragging her down the stairs into the dark smelly basement, he throws her up against the wall cracking her head and dazing her. One light hangs over his head, casting a shadow across the smirk on his face. Pleading with him to let go, she tries to run, but he grabs her arm. She starts to scream, but he back hands her in the mouth before any sound escapes. He bangs her head into the wall again, and she falls to the floor.
Lefty pulls her up, and starts hitting and slapping her around. It’s been a long time since he’s been with a woman . . . he starts to get excited. He pushes Katherine to the floor, ripping her clothes off. He pulls off her panties; lowering his body . . . he spreads her legs forcing him-self into her. She is still struggling, and a scream escapes her lips, when he puts his hand over her mouth. He savagely rapes her repeatedly. Lefty gets up; she starts to get up crying hysterically. He whacks her in the face so hard, she feels her nose crack as she crumbles to the floor. He starts kicking her in the ribs and stomach until she is an unconscious rag doll for him to abuse, kick, and throw around. Lefty leaves Katherine sprawled across a cold filthy floor to pick her-self up, or die where she lies. As he walks up the stairs, he takes out the Valentine’s Day card that the boss told him to leave, turns and tosses it on top of her small naked breast.
Lefty leaves through the door into the alley, he trips over the garbage cans, sending them and the garbage flying into the air. The noise sounds as loud as a marching band in a parade, and Lefty starts to run. He thinks he hears a man call out his name, but he never looked back.
