Best First Chapter Ever
I absolutely loved Tess. She was a sweet girl who was given a raw deal. If the first chapter of this book doesn't suck you in, you don't have a pulse. I loved the plot, and wasn't expecting who the bad guy turned out to be. Lots of twists and turns. Will definitely be reading anything else this author has coming.
Finding the Bread Crumbs on the Muddy Who Done It Path
This story somewhat surprised me with its numerous bread crumbs scattered intentionally by the author along the Who Done It Path.
Sometimes the bread crumbs were obvious and other times not so much so. The end result was a very well crafted mystery with great character development.
Additionally the author used the reader's own expectations and beliefs to muddy the Who Done It Path. I enjoyed this story very much and looking forward to reading another.
I could not put this book down. I can't wait for the next!
The characters were well rounded and for the most part believable. The short chapters helped kept the pace going. The subtle hints and the twists kept you guessing. Great read. I can't wait for the next.
