It was early in the morning, and Richard was lying in bed in his hotel suite, with one hand propping his head up on the pillow and the other holding a cigarette. He had a slight headache from drinking too much at the party the previous evening. But what a night it had been, and what a satisfying sexual partner Satin was for him.
Satin was fully clothed and sitting on the side of the bed, slipping on her high heels. She looked through the small opening of the drapes, where the bright rays of sunshine beamed through. The tile roofs of the concrete buildings and houses that seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see were only curtailed by the mountains in the distance.
She stood up, moved closer to the window and stared out. My God, how I loathe this city during the day. It must be the drabbest city in the world. She looked at all the hotels along the Strip and pondered the millions of secrets that were kept by the walls of those rooms. If only they could talk.
The sound of Richard’s voice snapped her back to reality. “A penny for your thoughts?” he asked.
She did not care to share them. “Will I see you again?” she asked in a soft and hesitant voice. She, too, had enjoyed their shared intimacy and harmonious lovemaking. There was something different about this man.
Richard shifted uncomfortably in the bed and snuffed out his cigarette. “Well, I don’t know about that. It’s difficult for me. You see….”
Satin braced herself and didn’t allow him to finish the sentence. She threw her hands in the air. “Oh, I know you have a wife to consider and — don’t tell me — a position to think of.”
“Now Honey, you understand, I’m sure.” He climbed out of bed and moved toward her, starting to massage her shoulders while tenderly caressing her cheeks with his masculine lips, reliving the way they touched each other a few hours earlier.
She didn’t understand. She never had. But she was accustomed to the line. “You win some, you lose some,” she responded nonchalantly, trying to sound indifferent even though she was aching for his touch. “But you will have to see me one more time at least.”
“Oh?” Richard was taken aback and removed his hands from her shoulders.
Satin turned to face him, appreciating his virile and hairy chest. She looked him in the eye. “One small item you seem to have overlooked. As a judge, certainly you will not want to pay me with a traceable credit card, and I am sure you don’t have the required amount of cash with you.”
Even though her own personal rule was to always get the money upfront, Satin knew the judge would not want to use a credit card. She trusted him to come through with the cash, since she knew he wanted to keep his infidelity private.

Stephen Murray is a master storyteller and his ability to write from a woman’s perspective is remarkable. I loved the three women, Satin, Ruby and Goldie. Strong, determined, and smart as they come, these three prove it’s not what you know but who you know, and sometimes it’s the combination of both. The murder of a cruel pimp is the centerpiece of the story, but it’s the relationship between the three women that keeps you turning the pages. There are no romantic entanglements, no sex, just a darn good story that will keep you going till the very end. Another fabulous book by a very talented author.

Frankie is the owner of one of the best escort services in Las Vegas. Satin, Ruby, and Goldie are his A-team Babes. Frankie is often cruel to his girls and thinks nothing of slapping them around and taking financial advantage of them. When Satin, Ruby, and Goldie have one of their secret meetings, they decide that they all have had enough of Frankie and decide it is time to come up with some ideas to make changes. They believe they have thought up a foolproof plan to shoot him on the fourth of July and begin to put the pieces in place. It is a very well thought out plan that includes ensuring there are no witnesses, knowing exactly where Frankie will be, and who and when they will pull the trigger and commit the crime. It is a page-turner as we follow the girls while they put their plan into place and then have to deal with the results of their actions.
Discreetly Yours is a story of get-even murder and a deep plot to avoid being caught. I had many emotions reading Discreetly Yours that ranged from go get him, have you lost your minds, a great plan, it seems foolproof to you will never get away with it, and then the conclusion is a rather surprising ending that I did not expect. Stephen Murray has written an entertaining story full of surprises, secrets and interesting characters. He has given the reader an interesting look inside the world of the escort service in a familiar setting. Discreetly Yours is a good read and has great potential for being a riveting TV movie.

This book was a wild ride and I absolutely loved it! Watching everything come together, tied together so nicely, was so refreshing and this book moved smoothly from start to finish as we found out what happened to Frankie and his A-Team. I felt that the author wrote from the perspective of a woman very well and loved these three strong, independent, sassy women taking charge of their lives, and their jerk of a pimp. Watching the battle was rewarding. I thought the characters were well written, the plot interesting and able to hook and hold the reader, and the little details throughout very well thought out. I really enjoyed the cover, as well: it is one I could easily see myself pick up from a shelf to read more about it.
"Discreetly Yours", by Stephen Murray is an absolute page turner. It has been a long time since I picked up a book that was so good that I couldn’t put it down until I read the entire story. Wonderful, colorful, characters were so real that I could see them vividly as I read this amazing, fast paced thriller set in Las Vegas. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and enjoys a great storyline!
