An amazing, thought-provoking Sci-fi journey
And Paul James has outdone himself once more. Thus fabulous continuation to the Modest Proposal Institute saga is exceptional, adding to what was previously offered by brining Nadia and Thomas's perspective into the narration. This was a brilliant move and I absolutely adore have the necessary funds to buy them the books the school requires. Today, we are looking to raise funds to purchase the supplies the children need to be able to make the most of their tuition. The school insists each child has their own copy of exercise books and text books and we would very much like to provide these to all of the children in our care.
God blesses us every day with the roof over our heads and the food he provides us every day. Please support us in raising these children to be able to follow their dreams and become the doctors, teachers, engineers, lawyers and other professionals our country needs.
e message that the best way to help people is actually encouraging them to help themselves. I cannot agree more, although James' choice of scenario with the dystopian future of a completely collapsed world brought into striking relief how hard that can be.
A very welcome continuation of a great series
If you’re into a unique world and a different approach to dystopian sci-fi, I recommend this heartily. That said, it’s not my usual genre of choice, but somehow I’m hooked. I’ve enjoyed this story since the first book was published, and if you haven’t read the preceding books, I very much recommend that you get hold of them. You don’t have to read them to enjoy this one, but why pass up the opportunity! New worlds, new challenges, new outlooks, arrogance, infighting - there is so much in the way of spoilers that I could rave about, but I suggest you explore for yourself. It’s skillfully crafted, very-well-written, and easy to read. I’m hoping the author will be generous and create a fourth one.
A Series of Futuristic Possibilities
The scary part about this series are the elements of truth that make this story almost believable. While many in our present society believe in apolocalyptic senarios, James paints an alternative situation where an intelligent group manipulates circumstances to create a viable society in an imploding world. With the time period being in the near future, this series shakes one's confidence in modern regimes and makes one question the behind-the-scenes work of the super intelligentsia.
This enjoyable series is unique in its approach. It urges us to think outside the box, to stretch beyond our programmed thinking and to embrace novel solutions to outdated philosophies.

The danger in near future sci-fi scenarios is that the author will get the timeline all wrong. A good example is Orwell's classic, 1984. While he was so right in so many ways, what we see now wasn't visible in 1984, no way near it. And the outcome hasn't been as dystopian as Orwell saw it. In fact, many of the big brother aspects have been more democratic rather than autocratic.
I have found in my own near future predictions, like the first landing of humans on Mars, to be off and not nearly as exciting as the movie, The Martian. Quite interestingly, a former caregiver, medical doctor and good friend of mine just informed me that her daughter, and exceptional student with a PhD in environmental engineering, has established an Institute with three other highly qualified Latin people to tackle the growing problems of South and Central America.
I have several books by fellow authors that I have not read. I am much more of a writer than a reader, relying on movies and television shows for entertainment rather than reading. But I think I will go ahead and buy your books anyway because you have very good reviews and I am intrigued by the little bit I've learned from what you posted here. To give you an example of my inability to read more than about 10 pages of the book a day. I have a thousand page book on my desk that I really want to read that I bought about five years ago and haven't even opened the cover to read the introduction. I cannot hold a book in my hands. And neck strain when I read from the desk is difficult.
