I love my characters in "Before We Disappear" I decided to write a sequel. Many of the characters in my book are survivors in one way or another and all connected to Erick Coates. Erick is an out standing person and always ready to help another human being. The reader will enjoy the way his life entertwines with others lives and he will be their hero.

Somewhere between Murrells Inlet and Georgetown on a lonely stretch of US Seventeen they pass a car on the side of the road, obviously disabled. As they traveled around a curve, Monica yells, "Look out," Jeremiah swerves but lightly clips someone or something. He pulls over and gets out, holding his coat over his head to keep some parts dry. He walks back to examine something in the road. When he gets there he can see that it is a young girl. He sees her move, so he ask, "Are you alright?" He lifts her head off the pavement and cradles it in his arm. "I...I think so," as she attempts to move and then groans, "O' it hurts...."
