It is a classical struggle between the forces of Good and Evil.   Excerpt As she materialized, Diana saw the king standing in the ruins of what was once her temple. With his sword drawn, he seemed to her as a threatening sort, so it was only natural to fire her crossbow right at his midsection. As quick as a rat, Greywolf flipped his weapon around and deflected the golden bolt, yet he did not charge. Diana took a good look at him. He could not be Human by any means. His hair was long and black and his eyes, a piercing blue that looked straight into the soul. And those ears! They were long and pointed. “Herme’s balls! Could this be an Elf,” she thought in amusement. “Well I am in Tir-na-nog, land of eternal youth. It would only stand to reason that this specimen most certainly is an Elf!” With a wry grin she re-cocked her crossbow and loaded another arrow. “I don’t suppose I could talk you out of firing that at me, could I,” Greywolf asked, an innocent smile forming on his lips. “You’re a pretty damned good shot.” Despite her anger, she couldn’t help but smile back and reply as if she were winning in high negotiation, “Out of the question. Just look at my temple. It’s a shambles! The priestesses are all dead, my followers are nothing more than food for worms, and here you stand. I am in the per-fect mood to kill someone, and it might as well be you.” She fired again. Once more, Greywolf deflected the arrow with his sword. “My, my, you’re a spry one. Who in great Zeus’s name are you,” she asked. With a wary eye and a ready sword, Greywolf bowed slightly, never losing eye contact with her. “I am Greywolf, known as King Sindadraug Rana’, the eleventh ruler of the Wood Elven kingdom, the Illmanar. This, or I should say, what’s left of it, is my homeland. And judging by your sunny disposition, I would wager you are the Goddess Diana.” She watched him thinking, “A king? Likely story.” But she did not reload her crossbow. Greywolf looked rather relieved. Then she said aloud to her captive, “Yes, I am Diana. Uh…Don’t Elves bow to their goddesses?” She gently toyed with another arrow. “I suppose they do,” he replied evenly, “but I do not believe in you.” The goddess chuckled as she looked down at her body, “Well your belief doesn’t seem to have made me go away, so I must be real. Wouldn’t you agree, your Highness?” She spoke to him with mock respect. “Oh you are real enough, Goddess,” Greywolf replied. He eyed her intently now, paying close attention to detail. Her long, flowing raven hair swayed lazily in the breeze, and, her penetrating green eyes seemed to reach deep into his heart. Her black leather tunic was very form fitting, clinging to every curve of her slim gazelle-like body. Moving his gaze slowly downward Greywolf took note of her bare midriff and her provocative, perfectly shaped navel. Surveying even further, he eyed her short, leather skirt, comprised of pleated strips that ended in points at her upper thigh area, making her long sinewy legs seem to go on forever. She was adorned in jewelry, arm bracelets on her well-cut biceps, rings, and necklaces, her gear fitting her like a glove. Diana was a true beauty, and, Greywolf had trouble keeping a clear train of thought.

a future Classic of its genre!,
DARK LORD can be genre-fied as a la Tolkien, but only for now. In time, as more people read this richly satisfying novel and talk about it, many a new Fantasy author's Work will be tagged as "a la Greywolf and Goddess Diana." I am an author and publisher, with many years experience in the field, and the last time I had such an enjoyable, lenghty reading experience was when I read
DUNE, more than a decade ago. I would recommend that readers who purchase DARK LORD, contact the authors for an autographed copy ...as I have done. I stand by my comment as to that DARK LORD is a future Classic which will set a standard by which new Fantasy

An Epic Tale of High Adventure!
This is the HOT Fantasy novel of the year! If you like adventure, you
will love Dark Lord. This tale of war and romance takes you through
the struggles of not just one, but many of the characters as they cope
with facing a seemingly unstoppable foe. The insights into the
characters is in depth and revealing in very direct as well as subliminal
ways. The dialogue is believable, and entertaining. It is a book that will
pull every emotional response from you, with each paragraph you read.

An epic adventure worth reading!
Dark Lord is the tale of one Elf's tragic journey through loss and pain, of sacrifices made so that good
might triumph over evil. It is filled with colorful battle scenes, rich anecdotes, and delightful dialogue. A
wonderful romance develops in Part two of the book, and the action is a constant roller coaster ride right
up to the surprise ending. A fabulous story, not unlike Tolkien in scope and depth. Wonderful artwork, a
thorough appendix called the 'Tome of Knowledge,' and a multi-layered plot makes Dark Lord a book that
will keep you up long after bedtime.
