She lost friends when they found out she was HIV positive and she was so sick. She couldn't keep food down. Her medications kept her so groggy she was afraid to drive her car. So she saved her pills to take all at once. Her stomach was pumped out in the nick of time and she survived. She tried committing suicide again and again months later until she was put into a psychiatric hospital.
