When Chance Warner, one of the coordinators for the outage, confessed that he had seen the same thing in his dreams, Angel knew what was in the dark. Death.
Travel with Chance and Angel as they try to outwit, out battle and outlive the creatures of the night. Creatures no human nightmares could ever conjure…creatures that only a very twisted soul could fathom. Stalk the creatures with Mo and Lenny as they try desperately to free their friends from the bloody grip of Hog Island Nights.
Excerpt
He (Chance) looked at me sadly and quietly said, “Life plays foolish games sometimes, Angel. I’m just sorry we had to meet right now.”
I just nodded, not really listening to what he was saying. I didn’t want to hear it. Not now. It was too late, or too soon or too something. I guess he was right, I wasn’t ready for him. I wasn’t ready for anything. I felt him deep inside my soul and mourned the loss. I might be a fool to turn him down, but I wasn’t too sure he was ready for this either.
As we passed the entrance to the plant, I noticed a shadow slinking through the wooded area…”Chance, stop!” I yelled.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, searching my face.
I pointed to the darker shadow on the floor of the forest and said, “Did you see that thing creeping along the ground over there?” The slow drizzle made it difficult to make out the image, but I could definitely see something moving.
Chance opened the door and stepped out, motioning for me to stay put. I jumped out before he got around the truck and gave him a look that said, “What can I say? I’m a woman.” He shook his head and held his hand out to me.
As we crept through the under brush we could hear the low growls of an animal nearby. A sharp feline scream made me jump and Chance stopped his forward motion, standing dead still…My heart was beating so hard that whatever was out there most definitely could hear it. Or so I thought.
A quick movement and sharp snarl behind us made me turn to see what was there. Chance stood slowly, measuring the sounds. He pointed to a set of red, glowing eyes watching us. I wanted to run screaming from the woods, but his strong grip kept me beside him. Whatever was out there wasn’t your average house cat or timber wolf. It was intelligent and that was more frightening than the creatures in mine and Chance’s visions.
“Damn!” Chance said under his breath, “what have we gotten ourselves into?”

Spine tingling. Didn't want to put it down. What an imagination this author has. Like Billie, I can hardly wait for the next book.

Wow! What a book! There haven't been many books that I've read that I absolutely
couldn't put down. This was one of them. If you like hair raising terror twisted with a
bit of sexual tension, you'll love Hog Island Nights. Can't wait for the sequel.
