The broken-hearted Jody and the chivalry of Joe created in-depth characters that I related to immediately. I liked the simple, clear writing that never left me wondering where they were at or what they were doing. The story had a plot twist that kept me reading on to see if they would be able to accomplish their goal and if their relationship would grow and last. I could relate to Jody's extreme introvert flaws, but it made her real. I liked how they worked together on the common goal of trying to save Cowboy the bronc from going to the slaughterhouse and how that came with some interesting complications. This story had just enough romance to make it a sweet read. I really enjoyed it and will be recommending it to my friends.
