I plan to use Grandma Has Gone to Heaven to explain death and the afterlife to my young children. It tackles the issues children face with the death of a loved one within a sensitive and interesting storyline.
Why did Grandma get sick? If God is so good, why did He take her away? I asked Him to make her better, and He didn't. Is she with Grandpa now? The questions Peter asks about sickness and death are common ones and this book uses sound biblical principles to answer them.
Grandma Has Gone to Heaven is well-written and great for parents to read aloud to kids of all ages. I highly recommend it to all parents!
