Life's Normal Unfolding
we both understand life's unfolding
in this life we will never be young again
our hearts no longer beat with strength
as they did when we were twenty
life is unfolding as it normally does
many friends and loved ones
from years long past or recent
are gone from our sight and touch
soon we too, must travel to a new place
but we will still recognize each other
