I have warily circled the sacred fire
searching for some spot that was merely warm
never daring to step lest its burn be more real
than the imagined ecstasy of walking its full length
But you were there, right in the middle of the smoke
and rippling atmosphere and your feet never scalded
until you stepped away believing the dirt
around my feet had a similar safety

Well, I didn't have the chance to read it all (which I will change soon), but what I did read makes me gain the belief that I stumbled across one of the most imaginative minds I have met...This "poesia" comprises many sides of human emotion, mostly the positive and light one, very intelligently structured and conveyed. I am grateful to have had the chance to read this book.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
