For ten years, Logan Riggs had been waging his own version of the war on drugs by locating the cartel’s cache of money and taking it.  It wasn’t because he’d wanted the money; for him it was personal.  Riggs figured that if the meth cook didn’t get paid, he wouldn’t cook and the flow of drugs would stop before it started.  His plan had worked well and he’d single-handedly shut down a few cartels and financially wounded several others.  As a by-product of his efforts, Logan Riggs had amassed several billion dollars of the cartel’s drug money.  Now, he wanted to retire but the cartels wanted their money back.

The different cartels all shared one problem equally; they didn’t know who was responsible.  They called him El Sombra, (The Shadow) because he looked the same as everyone else and had no distinguishing features.  Another thing they all shared was a thirst for all the money that had been taken.  Each one understood that whoever got all that money would be number one in the world and they would do anything to reach that goal.
