I trace the experiences and relive emotions from the past and bask in the memories of yesterday as I contemplate this day and my tomorrows. One step at a time I run the riddle of life through my thoughts as the worst and best vie for prominence. For the lucky among us the best win out and we smile as we reflect. In the uncharted waters of life’s journey love is a mysterious voyage that unites two hearts in a magical spiritual ceremony.My walking affords time alone to immerse myself in those times when peace and joy were served on my pallet daily. I rejoice give thanks and savor their emotional pemmican richness, one step at a time it is one of the luxuries of a walking man.

my life was the journey given me
my heart a voyage did choose
of innumerable steps
to look into your eyes; at love
weary feet and heart suffered
many fruitless miles
my soul knew no rest or smiles
where oh where was the beguile?
paths and trails all travails
bone tired trudging onward
searching endless registers
for the eyes where love resided
]ntil you no skies were blue
only my trying thoughts blue
the road before me narrowed
signs scripted in failure’s fonts
was the path for me to end
before love was found
before my heart was secured
walk on; walk on old man
I’ve labored on this voyage
uncharted driven by divine
belief that true love awaited
providence lead me, guide me
before my legs and spirit
yielded to abject despair
you appeared with love’s
rush to relight my heart with joy
