Richard lost his first love and left everything behind to live like his great-grandparents had lived. Mary was like a God send for him. She taught him a lot about living in the country. When Mary passed on, he thought he would be by himself. One day he was walking through the woods and met an Elf.
Richard met Mary and bought the land from her to build his log cabin on. She was a lot of help to him.Living with no electricity or running water was a lot to learn. Mary was old enough to help him with that. He lost her when he was in his sixties. Just when he thought he would be by himself,he met Cail. He was a little man with pointed shoes, pointed hat and a little brown suit. He scared Richard when they first met. I think Richard scared Cail just as bad.
Excerpt
I said, "Today was susposed to be our wedding day. Why did she have to die today." I cried out her name over and over again. I felt like she was sitting right nezt to me. I could feel her love so deep inside of me. I asked if I could see her and say goodbye.
The doctor said, "Yes, I'll take you to her."
Richard lost the love of his life and left town to ease his pain.
he lived like his Grandparents taught him and met the Elf he had always dreamed about.
It is good reading and a learning book.
