Five Stars!!!!! ELFEN GOLD is a compelling fantasy that will make Sheri L. McGathy a household name among genre fans. The story line is fast-paced and filled with magic, but the heroine is still allowed time to fully develop as a character so that readers can appreciate her quest. Clearly the magic's in the words as readers will believe in elven realms as described by Ms. McGathy, who is either a descendant or an honored visitor of the Ra-Jee.

Five Stars! ELFEN GOLD is a truly magical "fairy" tale with well-developed characters brought vividly to life. The reader feels the true evil of Del-a-Shar and the love and pride Ra-Nu feels for Ra-May. The descriptive narrative brings the surroundings vividly to life; the reader can almost hear Ar-Ion's footsteps as he paces awaiting Ra-May's birth. ELFEN GOLD is enchanting, vibrant and entertaining with just the right touch of suspense. The plot and setting were new and refreshing to me. Ms. McGathy's writing flows smoothly from one chapter to the next, holding the reader captive till the last page is turned. I felt like a young girl experiencing my first fairy tale all over again. Sheri McGathy's vivid imagination shines through. Definitely an author to keep an eye on. ELFEN GOLD is a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon!
