Races of vampires have populated the City of Savannah. They live among the mortals as humans. They feed on the one’s who cross their path.
Elisha Dobbs owns an expensive art gallery in the center of town. On his “Opening Night,” he meets a woman named Samantha Givens. In an instant, Elisha falls for her. He finds out that she’s an art teacher at “Savannah College of Art and Design” in painting. Samantha finds a great attraction in Elisha, as well. Here’s the catch. Elisha doesn’t want Samantha to know his secret that he’s a vampire. He wants her to be mortal, but still continue to date her.
His first problem is his maker, Krystal. She’s very jealous of the love that Elisha and Samantha hold for each other and wants to destroy that love and them, too. She tries everything from “mind control” to trickery to keep this love from happening.
The second problem is Devin; an old love of Krystal’s before a vampire “turned” him. He holds a grudge against Elisha and Krystal. This is because Krystal chose to “turn” Elisha instead of him.
Devin and a couple of his vampire flunkies (Spike & Max) wind up killing three college students (girls) from a dorm, which turn out to be Samantha’s students. Samantha is devastated. With no one to help her find the killer, she turns to Elisha for help; knowing he has connections in the city.
Elisha wanting to help her goes to Devin and threatens to kill him if he doesn’t lay off the college student. This needless to say, pisses Devin off something awful. He’s now on a personal vendetta to kill him.
During all this, Elisha has to keep his relationship from going “up in smoke,” but things get worse. Krystal tricks Samantha in seeing Elisha in the daylight and finds out Elisha’s secret. This freaks her out and now she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Devin joins up with Krystal and kidnaps Samantha. They use her as bait to try and catch Elisha.
Elisha decides the only way to be with Samantha is to become mortal again. He must first break “The Curse of God,” which isn’t an easy task. He must first seek the help of Shoji, the powerful Sorcerer vampire. His haven is guarded by magic of the lethal kind.
Then Elisha needs Samantha to help him break the curse. Before that can happen though, he must first get her back from Devin and Krystal.
Excerpt
INT. COCKTAIL - NIGHT
It’s a typical night at the bar. People are enjoying themselves and having a good laugh or two.
Devin and his two counterparts, Spike and Max, are at the pool table playing a game. Everyone is content and in good spirit. That is soon broken, when the bar door swings open and reveals a dark figure standing in the doorway.
The figure surveys the room and walks into the light. Devin slowly glances from his pool stick and sees Elisha standing at the end of the table. Devin turns his attention back to the table and takes his shot.
DEVIN
Elisha, to what do I owe the pleasure?
ELISHA
This is not a social call. I’m here with a warning. College students are off limits.
Devin carefully walks around the table and takes another shot. Spike and Max are eagerly waiting to see the outcome of this conversation.
DEVIN
You can’t still be feeling sorry for these mindless humans. That’s so... mortal. Okay you can keep a few for pets, but the rest are nothing but food.
ELISHA
I mean it, Devin. Lay off the kids.
DEVIN
Tell me, what is this hang up with college students?
ELISHA
Let’s say I’m partial to ones so young.
DEVIN
And if I don’t?
Devin takes another shot aiming for the eight ball. Elisha snatches the cue ball just before it comes in contact with the eight. He looks at the ball, and then at Devin.
His fingers rap firmly around the ball. Suddenly there is a small white EXPLOSION from his hand. Elisha calmly turns his hand over and pours it on the table.
Elisha’s eyes narrows and he speaks with a deep menacing voice.
ELISHA
Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust.
Devin gives a small smile and then a smaller laugh.
DEVIN
I’ll give you this, you have a lot of nerve coming here on my turf challenging me. This is my haven. My home. So, I call the shots. And no one... NO ONE! Threatens me on my grounds!
Devin signals a few vampires to get up and handle Elisha.
Another vampire locks the front door and pulls down the shade behind the door. Elisha slowly turns around and every one starts to hiss.
DEVIN
You won Krystal, but you won’t win here.
Elisha morphs into his true vampiric self and turns to Devin.
ELISHA
And like before, you got none from Krystal. And you gets none here.
DEVIN
KILL HIM!
A LARGE VAMPIRE, the size of a front lineman, leaps on the counter. His teeth are sharp as razors, as he grins at Elisha. Elisha slowly backs up to the pool table and carefully grabs a pool stick.
The giant demon springs forward to attack Elisha, but a pool stick spear thrown by Elisha, which spears his heart, meets him.
With agonizing pain, the creature lands on the pool table paralyzed.
Two more rush across the room toward Elisha.
One is an ASIAN FEMALE VAMPIRE! She comes at him with a Chinese Kung-Fu sword and starts swinging it at him with great speed. Elisha ducks and dodges it with acute accuracy.
In an instant, he whips out a miniature cross bow pistol and fires. With lighting speed, the first arrow hits the FEMALE
VAMPIRE dead center in the head. This doesn’t kill her, but slows her down with a loud CRUNCH.
ASIAN FEMALE VAMPIRE
You missed!
ELISHA
No. I just wanted to see your smile.
From behind his back, Elisha pulls out a small tub that sprays acid into the female vampire’s face.
ASIAN FEMALE VAMPIRE
HOLY WATER!
Two seconds later, she’s screaming as her face begins to burn and decay.
The SECOND FIEND launches in and is hit with a Bird Arrow into the heart. A dark red spray of old blood from his chest spreads across the room. The vampire collapses to the floor twitching wildly and clutching his chest as his blood flows from the side.
Spike grabs a double bladed axe from under his table and walks in front of Elisha.
SPIKE
You’re not leaving here in one piece!
ELISHA
If I won’t, you won’t.
Spike goes in with wild swings and Elisha ducks and punches under around and on the outside to the axe. And with a loud chop of the axe, it splits the wooden wall and the axe locks in place.
Elisha grabs Spike’s arm and in one hard twist, rips his arm from its socket. Spike yells in horror and pain. Elisha then turns to Devin.
ELISHA
Lay off them!
As he leaves, he drops a special acid that’s been prepared for them. In a blink of an eye, he is gone. Max tries to run after him, but is caught by Devin.
MAX
I’M GONNA RIP HIM A NEW ASSHOLE!
DEVIN
Fool! That acid will burn you down to your knees!
Devin looks furiously at the doorway. He slams his fist down on the bar counter splitting it in two.
