A Passion for Peace tells the story of Dorothy Day, one of the most influential women in the Catholic Church in the United States.
Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin, a former Christian brother from France, started the Catholic Worker newspaper that sold for one cent a copy and defended the working poor.
She always lived with homeless people and she opened Hospitality houses for the poor all over the United States.
She became close friends with Mother Teresa and Mother gave her a crucifix like the ones her Missionaries of Charity wore and invited Dorothy to be a special member of her order.
There is a movement to have Dorothy canonized.
