Kenya Marcu owns the best retailer of plus-size clothing in Hilltop, Mississippi and its surrounding counties. She had a wonderful staff and a great apartment. The one thing that she does not have is love. She has spent her enitre life believing that she is not worthy to be until loved until her grandmother's dying gift gave her the chance for a new start.
Daniel Robinson left HIlltop right after high school. He has been gone for twenty years, but now he's back. He had returned to be close to his mother, but when he gets there he finds more than he bargained for. He and Kenya form a frinedship that turns out to be something wonderful and special. Kenya Marcus is the owner of A Big Girl's Fashion Affair, a plus-size clothing store. It is based in the small town of Hilltop, Mississippi. She is a plus-size woman insecure with herself who finds joy in bringing style and fashion to the women in Hilltop because she had not been allowed to have it in her life. She has friends who love her, but her heart is closed to the idea that she will ever have the love of a man.
Along comes Daniel Robsinson, he is the first man to come into her life who makes her feel comfortable just being herself. He becomes a friend like non she has ever had before, but he wants her to see him as a man.
Follow their story as Kenya finds the strength to love herself, and Daniel looks for the courage to ask for her love.

With a deep sigh of disappointment, she walked out the bedroom of her tiny two bedroom apartment and into the extra bedroom across the hall to get her shoes from the closet in there. As she open the closet door and pulled out her black pumps, she looked around the room. It had once been a beautiful guest room, but for the past two year, it was an elaborate home gym. It housed almost every home workout system she’d seen advertise on the television.
She looked around the room again thinking that maybe this weekend she would get rid of some of this stuff. None of it was producing the effect she wanted. Instead of helping her get slim and trim, this stuff only turned all the flab into muscle. She would end up looking like a big muscle-bound man instead of the sexy model that she was aiming for. That was not what she wanted.
The clock in the hall chimed signaling that it was time for her to leave. She groaned loudly. She still hadn’t combed her hair. There was not much time to do anything elaborate to it, so she just scooped her shoulder length ebony locks up into a tight ponytail and wrapped a silky red scarf around the base of it. It was very 80ish, but it would have to do. She added a little eyeliner to her hazel eyes and a little red tinted gloss to her full lips and headed to the door. She had a lot to do today.
