This is a light collection of essays based on my own experiences in a Catholic elementary school during the 1930's.
This book is about growing up during the Depression years, a hard time but a simpler time. The stories are heartwarming, hilarious, and most often somewhere in-between. You'll meet the family, classmates, and assorted neighbors and friends on this journey from 1st grade through 8th grade graduation.
The class clown, the teacher's pet, and the one kid everybody thought would end up in jail - they're all here. I'm sure you'll recognize some of your own classmates in these stories. Kids haven't really changed all that much.

“Until now, I had no complaints. Life had been good to me. I spent the days playing with my dolls, cutting out pictures from the Sears and Roebuck catalogue, and talking to my friends, some real, some imaginary.”
This sounds like a very fun and interesting read. Did you know that God speaks with a Mid-Atlantic dialect, too? Well, he did when he spoke to me anyway.
