This is not a memoir in the true sense. It is a compilation of my memories and the times strung on the thread of my early life. I see the world changing rapidly, much more than when I was a child. I also detect a tendency to lack interest in the past and to learn from it. Which, as the old adage says, can be detrimental. The rapidity of change and the faster pace of life leaves little time to reminisce and recount the past. This lack of interest in History as a whole, even in comparatively recent events, as not worthy of our time and efforts is regrettable. Not only can we learn from it and try to avoid mistakes of the past, but we also understand it, wonder at it, and rejoice in its triumphs and glory.
