This booklet is a "in-a-nutshell" capsule or digest of a full-length book that reveals what must be done and how it is to be done in order to produce equity for Americans of African descent whose history in America has been uniquely and notoriously different from that of any other ethnic group of American citizens. It has been marked by 244 yeas of slavery, a century of legal segregation and the unparalleled denial of citizenship rights known in the history of civilization.
Americans of African descent can have an equal share of America's resources, opportuities, responsibilies and privileges that are bountifully enjoyed by other ethnic groups, especially Caucasian Americans.
While this booklet is primarily directed to black people who lack equity, it is addressed to all Americans, both black and white and other ethnic groups in America, all of whom have benefited, regardless as to when they came to America, especically economically, from the oppression and suppression of black people in America. But more importantly, it offers the prescriptions that Americans and America, as a nation, can take to hasten the day when America will become "a more perfect union" and "one nation indiisible with liberty and justice for all". Here, the challenge of a lifetime is presented to every American, not just to pliticians and those we call leaders.
It is emhatically declared in this discourse that many Ameicans who have benefited and contiunue to benefit from "black inequity" will not be effected adversely by their support of black equity. Even though they are not black they will benefit from promoting and working for the achievement of "black equity" in America. In a word it is in the best interest of all Americans to contribute to afffecting "black equity" in America.

"We emphasize "practice" community because community is essentially an action - what we do; or, more correctly, what we do together as a common or shared experience. Practice is no mere "rehersal" or training, for that matter. It is commitment to a creative and collective interrelational process which provides the individual practictioner with an opportunity to share himself with others and release his talents while simultaneously receiving benefits from other members of the group. The practice of commuity is a lifestyle, way of being, or livingness that occurs in an environment where the weak is never weaker than the strong and the strong is never weakened by the weak because love prevails as the principal force, and love given always returns better than it was before it was released. From the gift of love only enhancement is possible for all concerned.
