1. God (Free!) - Our Most Powerful Resource
Obvious? Not Exactly. Most ongregations would be offended if God was left out of the picture but yet, most implement Sunday school as if He didn’t exist. The Creator of the universe is at our disposal for guidance, direction, and empowering. If He can speak the world into existence, surely he can fill teaching positions, motivate workers, enable outreach, and multiply attendance in Sunday school. We have not because we ask not.
The God who inspired writers to pen the words, “Thy Word is sharper than any two-edged sword” and “Study to shew thyself approved under God” will also enable the one ministry designed to teach His Word to flourish. But He won’t force His way in to our well-laid plans. He will lead and guide when asked.
