Change is an opportunity for something better to happen. Whether we like it or not, change will happen. Whether we ask for it or it is forced upon us, we must be willing to change. The ability to be aware, accept and embrace change is the one skill that separates successful people from the also-rans.

“Those big trees that crashed are stiff and unbending. They have grown so strong that they refuse to follow the law of the wind. They don’t change with the season and because they are not flexible, they resist and so they get uprooted and crashed to the ground.”

Excerpt

Our resistance to change comes from our old HABITS.

Most of us go through the same routine on a daily basis. We wake up in the morning and follow the same routine. We do the same set of activities in the same sequence. We go to work driving the same route. We tend to carry out these activities mechanically

Thought Provoking - Internal analysis of your results based upon your daily habits.

Because we live in an ever-changing world, it is important to understand the reasons we resist change and the reasons it’s important to be flexible and embrace change. Ola’s stories and examples make it easy to understand these principles. This book is a fun and easy read and value packed.

Jeff Crilley
Ola’s book “Be the Change You Want To See” shows that the mastery of change is the one skill that differentiates the successful people from the multitude. Change is the
engine that fuels personal and professional development which translates into success. Ola’s original ideas and stories from his cultural background provide a rare insight into our lives as we deal with change individually and collectively.

Be the Change You Want to Be is a quick read delivering a powerful message about change. It is simple yet profound as it provides guidance about managing change whether the change impacts you personally or your business. It compliments my business slogan as I work with clients who encounter change: Change will not go away; it will only go faster. This book helps to make the reader aware of how change comes about and how to manage it, practically. This is a must read!
