Hopefully Ever After is a love story. You won't be able to help falling in love with the main characters as they develop, grow, discover their faults, their strengths and most of all the realization that without God, everything else is just hopefully ever after. This story is centered around two African American middle class professionals, Tony and Vlylee and the people who enriched and influenced their lives.
Tony is a junior attorney at a prestige law firm. He has been at the same law firm for ten years and it has often been said that his job is his longest and most fulfilling relationship in his life. He has been trying to make partner for five of the ten years.
Vlylee is a software design consultant, who works mostly as an independent contractor. She is often hired to teach at conferences all over the United States. She is debt free and proud of all her accomplishments, that is all except for her relationships.
Tony walked over to Vlylee and asks for permission to sit down. They both sat quietly for about twenty minutes before speaking. It was very obvious that both their hearts were heavy and neither one of them could mustard up the energy to put the brave smile on in order to encourage the other. Neither one of them wanted their personal issues belittled by the other. They both felt silence was the way to go, but surprisingly it felt great, not just the silence but also the company.
