Annie turned to the beginning of the second journal, which wasn't nearly as ornate as the first. It was a simple leather bound book edged by red and inscribed on the front in gold leaf "Journal". This one bore no inscription from her husband. Inside, Suzette had written her name and the first line started with "continued from book one..." It dawned on Annie that for Suzette to have included that line, she must have believed that one day, someone would read this and the other journal.
