This book begins with past lives, but strictly speaking it is not a book on past lives, past-life regression, or regression therapy. This book concerns the study of the soul itself -- how individuality develops in the immortal soul-entity, the Higher Self if you will, from the point of separation from the Absolute to the end of the cycle of earthly incarnations, and how events during each person's path back to God both helps and hinders that process. It traces the effects of the individual entity's experiences as it makes its way through life after life, and outlines how knowledge of those effects can be used to clear blocks towards progress on all levels.
This information is based on the work of several regression therapists dating back to the early 1970's, and is drawn from thousands of case histories as well as intense study of transpersonal psychology, based on the works of Carl Jung, Alice Bailey, Ken Wilber, Kenneth Pelletier, and the channeled entity Michael -- among others too numerous to mention. The theories of these gifted individuals seemed to parallel the soul development of a vast number of individuals as revealed through past-life regression, and began putting it all together -- and thus The Psychology of Spirit was born.

The psychology of spirit traces, or attempts to trace, the development of the psyche from the moment the entity emerges from the Infinite. When the soul first breaks away from the Infinite, it enters into what we call the involutionary are, a term defining the process of God becoming human. It descends through the various planes of existence to the earthly physical plane, where it takes incarnation in the first of hundreds -- yea, thousands -- of physical bodies. It then enters the evolutionary loop -- which is a fancy name for the cycle of earthly incarnations up through various stages of development until the soul has gone as far as it can on the earthly plane and moves on to the realms beyond.
The ultimate goal of every soul-entity moving along the evolutionary loop is to regain innate knowledge of its own divine origin -- in short, to attain enlightenment or God-realization, which is sometimes called Self-realization. God- or self-realization may be defined as a state of consciousness in which the individual lives constantly in total and complete awareness of his or her own unity with God.

The Psychology of Spirit brings philosophy, science and experience and research with past-life regression together in its quest to create greater awareness. This book summarizes life's ten toughest tests with ten passwords each to pass these tests. The current overload, speed of change and chaos are all summarized well enough to get to the Land of Simple on the other side quicker than usual.
