Haunting Confusion
Entering my mind like a broken dam
Flooding my internal being
Washing away my sanity
Making me a prisoner to my thoughts
Lost in the forest of my mind
With emotions wrestling belief
Of what I want to be true
But it is what it is, what it will be
Dense like a bottomless sea
Fragile like slipping memory
In dreams containing you eternally
I leave my reality there
Hearts bleeding pain are dyed with euphoria
I ride nostalgia like a horse running free
Till the bitter is tasty
With melancholy whistling sweet melodies
Like air through my hair
When I awaken to the soft face of morning
A prayer to help ascertain
Plunge into nothing to something
To a world where I'm always sane
I'm wishing to embrace the arms of slumber again and again
