Thoughts from the heart that touch the soul on topics such as addiction and recovery; victimization and self-discovery, love and desire, politics and education, religion and procreation. Presented in the old-fashioned rhyming vernacular, in the common speech of today.
TODAY I Have Words is poetry that tells a story; carries a message without being preachy. It tells that dreams do come true, even if one's life didn't start out peachy.
TianaMarie was born amid the cold and snow of Milwaukee, WI. She went to school in the rough and tumble neighborhood of the near northside and then moved to an even colder Minneapolis, MN where she gave birth to two children and struggled with an ever growing drug addiction. Moving to Las Vegas, NV where she still resides, TianaMarie buried her mother, became a grandmother and began the long journey down the road to recovery.
TODAY I Have words is an easy to read, illustrated book of 126 pages of poetry that springs from these life experiences of the author.
