This is Storm's story. She was raised by a man that wasn't her father, treated like a slave, beat at his leisure, until she meets her real father and Shadow hawk. Stalked by her step father, Storm must learn to live her life without fear.
EXCERPT... Storm knelt beside her father as he opened the trunk. He pulled out a beautiful doeskin dress and matching moccasins. Oh, theyre beautiful! Mama wore these? Yes, and Im sure you will look even more beautiful in them than she did. Storm blushed. No one ever complimented her on her beauty like her father did. Thank you. Can I put it on now? she asked. Of course, Ill go outside. Storm smiled. This man, that she barely knew, treated her like a princess, true to his word. She quickly changed from white clothes to Indian. When she peeked her head out the closed tipi flap, Running wolf was caught off guard. His daughter was not only gorgeous, but looked one hundred percent Indian. Only her eyes told of her white heritage. Are you alright father? Storm asked as she approached him. I - Im fine. You look so - Cheyenne. And I was right, your mother would look like a wilted flower beside you. Father, really. Storm blushed. Turning to the brave beside him, he said in English. This is Shadow hawk. He has agreed to help teach you our language. Shadow hawk, this is my daughter, Storm. They silently looked at each other. Storm had never seen a man as handsome as this man. His chest was tight and his arms - so muscular. An unfamiliar feeling began in her stomach. Shadow hawk had been expecting a woman that wouldnt knock the breath out of him, but Storm had done just that. Hello? Did you two hear me? Running wolf cut into their thoughts, laughing. When they looked at him, he continued, I need to see to our celebration feast. Can I trust you alone with my daughter?: He said the last part in Cheyenne. Shadow hawk smiled, Im not sure how to answer that, but I think I can control myself. He smile back. Very well. in Cheyenne. To Storm he said, I will return shortly, Shadow hawk will keep you company. Alright, father. She said with a smile. Shadow caught his breath. How could he control himself when she did things like that? Her smile melted his heart. Chapter six Shadow hawk looked intently at Storm. She had been in the village a month, and already her grasp of the Cheyenne language was spectacular. She could almost speak it as well as he cold. Storm looked up from the task she was working on. Shadow hawk didnt hide his gaze from her. She blushed, but held his gaze. He always made her feel like a silly little girl. I was wondering if you would like to go on a ride with me today. He said huskily. Storms eyes lit up. I would love to! She rose and walked to him. Maybe you can teach me something new. she smiled. You know so much, Storm, I can only think of one thing left for me to teach you. Storm looked into his eyes and knew he meant something more than the Cheyenne language or culture .

Storm laid her head on her father's shoulder and closed her eyes contently.
" I'm so glade we found eachother, Father."
Running wolf smiled and hugged her close.
" So am I. So am I."
